Beautiful sextant, collectors item in very neat condition. Created by "Heat & Co, New Eltham, London S.E. 9. “ for “ Preisler Malmö “ a Swedish specialist in optics. Unlike many others, this sextant is actually used at sea. Of course with signs of use, but this only makes this sextant more beautiful. Clear scale division in silver and brass combination, with the special "Hezzanith" endless tangent screw, automatic clamp, which is patented. All lenses - blackout glasses - mirrors etc, are completely intact. With additional accessories in the custom-made mahogany box by "Westland" provided with nameplate of Preisler Malmö, batter is of brass, key is not present. Very special is also the accompanying calibration report of the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute from February 1953, signed by the director himself, Mr Gallas.
