Austrian sabre-bayonet for infantry rifle “Mannlicher” model 1895, used during World War I. This bayonet was made at the Osterreichische Waffenfabrik Gesellschaft (Austrian Weapons Factory) of Steyr, whose monogram “OE/WG” can be seen on the blade heel. Osterreichische Waffenfabrik Gesellschaft, managed by Josef Werndl, was the main supplier of weapons of the Austro-Hungarian Empire army for a long period of time, and produced weapons from 1869 to 1918.
