The story behind the Ferrari Testarossa Spider from Agnelli
Contrary to what OutRun made us believe, the Testarossa was never delivered as a Spider by Ferrari. However, they gladly made an exception for one man.
Gianni Agnelli, the former director of Fiat and grandson of founder Giovanni Agnelli, was known for his extravagant lifestyle. With the emphasis on ‘style’, which we see again in 2015 in the three-part pimppos of grandson Lapo. In the 1980s, when he wore more women than Luckies, it was reflected in one of the most beautiful Testarossas ever built.
At Gianni Agnelli's request, Ferrari built the Testarossa for once with a manually operated folding roof. The body color would be a reference to the silver symbol "Ag" in the periodic table, the first two letters of his last name. We don't know what the blue border at the bottom refers to, but that the car looks horribly good, we will probably all agree on that.
