Delicate, finely painted and potted blue and white saucers with paintings of birds in a tree surrounded by peonies done in the Kangxi style. The glaze is thick, unctuous, shiny, and blue tinged . The cobalt used is a medium to deep cobalt blue trying to approximate the Kangxi blue. The paintings have good line quality and shading. The saucer have matching marks on the base that read Jianxi Guohua Zhenpin

CONDITION

One saucer has a hairline crack with several rim frits. The other saucer is perfect with no chips, cracks, or breaks. It rings like a bell. There are kiln flaws like pimples. There are wear scratches to the interior surface. They still look bright and shiny.
