Postmodern, Spanish draughtsman and illustrator belonging to the Catalan school of cartoonist. He was born in the family of Alfredo Opisso, an art critic. He studied in Barcelona and Paris, and he worked for several magazines in Barcelona, from his first collaborations in “Luz” (1898), and for several Spanish and French publications (l'Esquella de Torratxa, Grace campaign, Le rire, Ruy-Blas) He belonged to the group “Els quatre gats”

He is specially remembered for his work in children’s magazines such as TBO and for his graphic work in different newspapers. His work as a draughtsman is a comprehensive chronicle of life in Barcelona, seen with gentle irony an with a style mainly inspired by the French cartoonists from the late 19th c. His satirical drawings, and also those with an erotic subject- are especially valued, too.

His work constitutes one of the most beautiful and valuable sociological documents of all the Spanish art from the 20th c. Currently, he is one of the most valued pre-war artists by antiques amateurs.
