Charles Catteau for Boch Frères Keramis- Vase with craquelure decor D 1101 with stylised floral patterns in triangles
The decor consists of multi-coloured lacework with stylised floral patterns in triangles on a white background. In total there are 4 hanging and 4 standing triangles.
The colours are applied using a thick layer of enamel.
Marked on the bottom.
There is the round mark in the black, “BOCH Frs LA LOUVIERE MADE IN BELGIUM FABRICATION BELGE”.
Decor number = D 1101.
Shape number = 901.
This vase dates from the period when Charles Catteau was the head of the art studio of Boch (the Atelier de Fantasie). The decor was designed in 1927.
Height = 24.5 cm. - Weight = 1321 gr.
Maximal diameter of the body = 18 cm. Diameter collar = 6.8 cm. Diameter base = 11.5 cm.
The vase is in very good condition with minor signs of wear.
