Designed by Tobia Scarpa for Flos in 1963, this Jucker table lamp is the predecessor of the famous Eclisse lamp by Artemide, and can be considered the first of a series of lamps that was inspired by the conquest of space in the 1960s-1970s.
By tilting the shade, which is in the shape of a helmet, the light can be subdued and rotated in different directions.
Material: yellow (rare colour) painted metal, the inside of the helmet is varnished white
Measurements: H22 x D18 cm
The light source (small fitting) is not included.
The lamp is in good vintage condition and shows (of course) signs of wear and age (here and there chipped varnish, mainly along the edge, foxing on the inside of the helmet) and is fully functional. It also has the original wiring with bakelite plug and original switch designed by the Castiglioni brothers.
