Box (2) - Famille verte - Porcelain - Flowers - Chinese Polychrome Paste Box with Cricket and Flowers 19th Century - China - 19th century

The box has very fine decorations of a cricket on flower and the lid. The lower half of the base is iron red with gilding and a Qianlong reign mark. "CHINA" is etched on the base.

Purchased from Crane Galleries, the premier Asian art gallery in Seattle during the 1980s

CONDITION
There is wear to gilding on the top rim. There is a small chip in the glaze on the leaf edge under the cricket. There are two rough spots on the inside foot edge. There are no cracks, breaks or other chips
