House altar sculpture of the bull "Nandi", the mount (“vahana”) of the Hindu god Shiva.
Nandi is always depicted at Shiva's feet or in the direction of a Shiva temple shrine and is worshipped during the daily puja.
Shiva is represented here by his phallic form (the 'linga') which is located in the 'yoni' (the female pelvis) (at the front of the sculpture)
