Engraving - Not signed - 1598

Condition: very good. Right outer margin restored. Verso: blank with some handwritten notes.

Beautiful architectural Renaissance designs with inspiring details. Sometimes the left and right sides of a symmetrical design are finished in a different way. Variations for inspiration. This is a so-called "model" in the tradition of the great ornament designers such as Hans Vredeman de Vries who worked in the same century, some 10-20 years earlier.

Designer and engraver: Wendel Dietterlin (1550-1599). German architect, painter and engraver. He worked most of his time in Strasbourg. He has published some fantastic etchings in his most important work "architectura". His fantastic designs show renaissance ornaments and buildings; Some of them still gothic in inspiration.

The print will be shipped by registered mail in a tube.
