Gunnel Nyman (1909-1948), Finnish glass artist and designer, was from 1942 at the cradle of the introduction of modern glass design in Finland and Nuutajarvi. Since the 1930s, she experimented with glass in which she processed air bubbles. Her work was a source of inspiration for later generations of glass artists Her premature death put an end to a promising career The design of this vase is from that period (1947-1948)
