The Menorah / Chanukah is perhaps the most recognizable symbol that represents the Jewish people. It symbolises the view that the State of Israel is a bringer of light and should be an example for all nations.
Today the Menorah still serves a purpose. In every Jewish household, synagogue or public space one can find a seven-armed candelabrum as a bringer of light and a symbol for the presence of God.
