A beautiful - hand-stained - stained glass window hanger with an image of Ceacilia, patron of music. According to legend, she came from a distinguished Roman family, gens Caecilia. She was very young when forced to marry someone from another Roman noble family. They found solace in music and died a martyr around 230. She became the patroness of music, instrument makers and singers. The beautiful colours in the image are beautifully reflected in the frame. Made after a painting by Carlo Dolci.
Fitted with new lead and patinated so that the window has the 'old look' and the outer edges have been reinforced. Equipped with two sturdy hanging hooks.
The first 11 photos were taken with a window in the background, the last 5 against a light background.
In excellent condition - no breakage or cracks.
