Omega - 'Ultra Flat' Bumper Watch - 2374-2 - Men - 1901-1949

Description
Omega - 'Ultra Flat' Bumper Watch - 2374-2 - Men - 1901-1949
Automatic - Steel

Up for auction is a 1940's rare Omega ultra-flat automatic bumper watch, ref. 2374-2, the flattest automatic model ever produced in series during the 40’s. The glossy Silver dial has patinaed to a beautiful Ivory colour and simply pops against the chrome Arabic hour markers. The printed inner register and Omega logo remains strong and protected over the years by the lacquer. The Stainless Steel case with a chased case-back is held in by a notched looking ring (a Favre-Parret patent) and was water resistant thanks to a shellac gasket. Super shrap protruding lyre-shaped lugs fitted to a brushed case middle. The original and period correct crown has also survived the years. It has been attached to a generic 18mm black leather strap and buckle. The 17 jewel movement is cal 30.10 RA and is triple signed. A stunning example of a vintage automatic Omega in good condition. I believe the dial has been professionally refinished.

Will be supplied without box and papers and shipped using special recorded delivery with insurance up to the full amount.
