Antique "LIWANZEN" pan made of copper, Vienna around 1900, rare!
Tinned inside, diameter 32 cm (without handles)
Good used condition, a dent on the edge.
This pan still work!
The piece is very rare because very regional limited!

"LIWANZEN", small, round pastry made of thin "GERMTEIG" (yeast dough), which in special
LIWANZEN "pans is baked, which have small depressions.
"LIWANZEN" is also called "DALKEN", they are a delicacy of the Bohemian cuisine.

After baking, top with "POWIDL" (plum jam) and grated "TOPFEN" (cream cheese)
sprinkled with sour cream or unsweetened "OBERS" (whipped cream).

The name does not appear in the Austrian cookbooks until the middle of the 19th century
on; it is derived from the Czech "LITI" (pouring) and describes the pouring of the
Dough in the form.

Populäer was this dessert mainly in Vienna and the surrounding area of Vienna.
But definitely a delicacy!
