Meteorite MUONIONALUSTA. Fine octahedrite. (Sweden, 1906). - 12×8×5 cm - 1695 g

A million years ago, a planetoid of metallic composition and large size crashed into the north of Scandinavia, in present-day Sweden. This meteorite is known by the name of Muonionalusta, and it is until today the oldest meteorite from which there is evidence on Earth. It was discovered for the first time in 1906, and since then it has been possible to recover some specimens, usually of small size.

The specimen of this lot is a spectacular piece, of good size and in perfect state of conservation, in which some octahedral crystals can be observed on the outside. The internal structure of this meteorite is "fine octahedrite". A piece worthy of a great collection, perfect for collecting as individual or for cutting.

We are members of IMCA (International Meteorites Collectors Association), with number #7412. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our specimens. Buy with warranties.
