15-16th century Japanese Katana blade in fine traditional sharp polish, very strong and powerful blade in fine japanese polish. It is a truly well forged real fighting blade, with no forging flaw at all, no damage, rust etc.
Hard to find such an old blade is such a strong healthy condition, it also has numerous battle scars from powerful blows by edges weapons, but only on the Mune (roof side), this side is used to deflect blows by the skilled Samurai to preserve the edge and the strength of the blade. These are called Kirikumi cuts, and they do not count as damages but adds historical value to it.
The deeply curved blade showing well executed hada, the temperline is very good active midare-suguha hamon, also same elegant pattern boshi and healthy kissaki.
The tang is unshortened with original hole, deep patination.
The blade is housed in high quality shirasaya with horn fitting and silver plated habaki.
