Sculpture of Lu Xing, one of the three gods or stars of happiness. Here, depicted with a hat of a senior official and carrying a scroll in his right hand. Made from dark green hardstone (aventurine?).
China, second half of the 20th century.

In good overall condition, with signs of wear from age and use (rub marks, small flaws in the stone). To note: a bit missing on one of the fingers of the right hand (photo 24). Crack under the base (photo 23).
