Beautiful and rare French Pillivuyt porcelain terrine "terrine à gibier en trompe l'oeil" with a pheasant figural lid. Glazed ceramic hunting scene.
The terrine is made in Porcelsine a feu, baked porcelain. What is confirmed by their hard, glassy white interior. The lid has factory-made perforation to give off steam.
Marked on the base of Pillivuyt - porcelaine à feu. Made in France. Pilllivuyt & Cie is an ancient and very famous production of porcelain in the middle of France.
A rare and fantastic addition to your French interior.
Very decorative and in a sublime condition.
