This bronze bell was made on the occasion of 50 years "Soep Van Boom", at that time located in Antwerp (Belgium). "Moemoe" (Lie) started making the soup already before the first world war. This bell (and other almost identical) served on the triporteurs etc. with which the soup was brought to respective customers, home-delivered. This bell has no clapper. It was knocked on with a ladle to announce the arrival of the delivery person.
The bell has a diameter of approx. 22 cm on the largest side and is about 19 cm high. It has a total weight of more than 8 kg, not including the shipping packaging.
The texts on the bell are as follows: "1908 MOEMOE 1958" and "VAN BOOM SOEP"
