Engraving - Not signed - 1640

3 copper engravings from / after A. Collaert, from Avium vivae icones. Probably third edition, published in 1659, by N. Visscher (1659, 1640?). Custom images, possibly by P. Galle.
Condition: fair. One plate was cut just outside the plate’s edge. Minor damage to the corners. Second plate with wider margins, but with restored cut. Paper somewhat browned. See pictures for an impression of the quality.

Plate 1. Strutio, Strutio ex China (ostrich, crane and a species toucan). Edition of 1640, printed in Amsterdam by de Wit. 13x19, cut off on the plate edge.
Plate 2. Swans and Ducks. No name in the plate. Number 17 of the series. 11.5 x 16 with margins of about 1 cm with restored cut, barely visible at front. See photos. This edition probably 1659, printed by N. Visschier.
Bird prints from the 17th century are not very common.
