Lautrec is without a doubt one of the most important poster designers and printmakers of the 19th/20th century. His Moulin Rouge poster made posters into an accepted art form.
Original lithograph in colours from 1896, on smooth wove paper laid to japan paper, first state (of two), before letters, a very good impression, the blue printing particularly strongly, with the artist's red monogram stamp (faded), and the "Sagot" blind stamp from the edition of one hundred impressions in this state, printed to the sheet edges on three sides, in fantastic condition (colours, white paper, etc..).
