Around 1960, the French artist Edouard Pignon travelled for three consecutive seasons to Campagna, the countryside near Rome, to experience the harvest time together with the farming population. In the meantime he drew and painted what he saw, and the work he made there was published in 1963 by Cercle d'Art in a beautifully made livre d'artiste, in a French and a German edition. This is the German edition.
