Old mechanical calculator with its stylus - Metal - MASTER made in Belgium - Circa 1930 - 15.7 x 12 cm.

A very rare model made in Liège, Belgium. It is different from other mechanical calculators with the little crank to reset it. Only for additions.

The device works very well.

These mechanical calculators were add/subtract calculators used with a stylus.

In 1889, this type of calculator was patented by Frenchman Louis Troncet, under the name ‘Arithmographe’ and manufactured by Vve Larousse. As they became popular, English-speakers came to call these instruments: ‘troncets’.
