Marie Louise Élisabeth Vigée-Le Brun, also called Vigée-Lebrun, born Vigée, (Paris, 16 April 1755 - Louveciennes, 30 March 1842) was a French artist.
She is best known for her portraits of European nobility.
This has a lovely oval gilded frame.
On the reverse a label of authenticity has been affixed:
“HELCA, martelé a la main.”
With beautiful, detailed finishes. True craftsmanship, artisanal!
