Vintage acid tested high-purity silver necklace with small glass beads and central Taviz amulet pendant, from the city of Jaisalmer, in the state of Rajashtan (North India) from the early 20th century.
The necklace has 5 rows of small silver flower beads chained together with 4 large triangles and 2 large square spacers with small glass inlay. The glass pieces are not all intact a few are missing or broken due to old age and wear!
The silver Taviz pendant also has little glass beads and small ball pendants hanging from it, the backside is open worked very nicely done.
The neck part has a lovely sterling silver woven chain.
Similar necklace is featured in Oppi Untracht's "Traditional Jewelry of India".
