Beautiful intact tooth of the extinct large tooth shark; Carcharocles megalodon. This tooth is 11.4 cm long and 8.2 cm wide. The tooth comes from the lower jaw. It was surfaced by a friend who is a diver from the Cooper River near Charleston in South Carolina. The tooth comes from the Miocene and is between 15 and 20 million years old. The photos speak for themselves.
