A unique and special piece of boxing memorabilia. A boxing glove signed by hand by former World and Olympic champion Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker. He added HOF 07 (Hall of Fame) to his autograph.

Pernell Whitaker was born on January 2, 1964 in Norfolk Virginia. July 14, 2019 he died in a car accident. He was only 55 years old.

He was a four-weight world champion, having won titles at lightweight, light welterweight, welterweight, and light middleweight; the undisputed lightweight title; and the lineal lightweight and welterweight titles. He currently holds the longest unified lightweight championship reign in boxing history at six title defenses. Whitaker is generally regarded as one of the greatest defensive boxers or all-time. He is a member of the Hall of Fame.

He has boxed 46 games. He won 40 of which 17 with a K.O. In 1982 he won silver as an amateur at the world championship in the lightweight division. In 1984 he won gold in the same weight class at the Los Angeles Olympics.

This boxing glove is clearly signed by Pernell Whitaker with a silver marker. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) or Schwartz Sports. One of the leading companies in sports memorabilia.
