Spectacular salt cellar, Rome, circa 1820, with pierced railing upper edge, square base with palmettes motif in relief. The salt cellar is decorated with 4 lion heads. It is a true gem of Roman silverware. Height approx. 7.5 cm, base 4x4 cm. Weight 55 g. Origin: from an important collection in Florence.
