(Vintage - Agfa paper - image size: 17 x 23 cm - 24 x 30 cm with mat)
The photographer Hubertus Hierl (*1940) was able to photograph Pablo Picasso with his consent during a bullfight in Fréjus (South of France - 7.8.1966). A stroke of luck and a star hour for the photographer! The entire series of paintings with more than 100 Picasso portraits shows Picasso in an environment that was one of his great themes throughout his life: bullfighting.
Werner Spies, Picasso expert and former director of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, writes in the book "Picasso at the bullfight": "The recordings of Hubertus Hierl show expectation, tension and fear ... they show what Picasso sees and feels."
It is an opportunity to purchase Picasso photos by Hubertus Hierl. Images under mat - Delivery without frame. Origin: directly from the artist's collection - the authenticity is guaranteed.
