Neo-romantic painting on tulle, depicting angels and fine women, in the Renaissance style. Signed at the bottom left
Gabrielle Eylé. Born in 1850 (or 1852), she married to take the name Gabrielle Zaborowska-Eylé. She signed her first fan sheets by her maiden name, then from 1880 indifferently "Zaborowska" or "Zaborowska-Eylé".
Well known to fan collectors, especially from the Belle Époque period, she works in close collaboration with the Parisian fan-maker Duvelleroy, but probably with others too.
Before exploding in her art, she produced some early works in neo-romantic style. She was a pupil of Charles Camino (1824-1888).
