Beautiful ovoid vase by gifted ceramicist Sophie Combres.
Decorated with nude women and faces, the glaze is a marvel of colour, material and texture research.
Extremely rare and Superb vase.
Format: 23 x 15 cm (at the widest)

Sophie Combres was born in 1960. After years spent around the workshop of Loul Combres, her father, she trained at Beaux Arts in Nîmes.
In 1980 she spend several months with Jean Linard in La Borne.
Then in 1982, she pursued an original artistic approach by joining painting with ceramics.
Her pieces are present in several private collections.
Sophie Combres lived and worked in Languedoc before she left us prematurely in 2007.
Exhibited at the Museum of Mediterranean Pottery in Saint Quentin la Poterie and other private collections in France and abroad.
