Bukhara: Bukhara carpets are the best known of Uzbek carpets. They are made to the west of the Uzbek capital. Timeless, they are easily recognisable through their repetitive Elephant feet or Gul motifs and their blood red colour.
These carpets are made in the city of Bukhara in Uzbekistan. The designation 'Bukhara carpet' is generally used to indicate carpets whose design recalls the classic Bukhara motif of Turkmen influence, which feature a vibrant red background and multiple designs in the shape of circles.
The carpet measures: 161 x 123 cm
