Here is one of the pieces of my personal collection of optical objects.
It’s a microscope manufactured by Meschenmoser, an optician’s shop founded in the 19th century. The shop is still open today and manufactures high-quality items.
The box is made of fine wood, apparently oak. It has no significant damage and comes with the key. The lock is in working condition. It has a brass carrying handle.
The style of both the box and the microscope looks 30s. It’s in almost new condition. It shows no damage and comes with all the pieces and lenses in almost pristine condition.
As shown in the pictures, it’s in excellent condition. Despite my lack of knowledge of the subject, I could use it by just changing the lenses and adjusting the height. It works wonderfully. The magnification is engraved on the lenses (see the photos, please).
This item was bought in the 70s. It came from a retired natural science teacher.
Good for any enthusiast as a decorative piece, as a vintage touch for an office or for the working space of a technician or scientist, or for a nice evening with your children, arousing their interest in science.
Being complete, in this condition, and with the box and the key, this microscope is a little treasure of those days.
Professional packaging and insured shipping to the nearest collection point (weight: 9 kg).
