José Luis Pescador, born in 1979 in Mexico, has worked in the fields of illustration, auteur comics, collaborative comics, painting and graphic works in publications around the world such as Tank Magazine (United Kingdom), ArtReview (UK, Asia edition), La Cúpula Ediciones (Spain), Kiss Cómix (France) and Fantagraphics (USA),as well as Colegio de México, Océano, Santillana, Turner, La Rana, FCE and many others in Mexico.
He won the Diego Rivera Drawing Biennial and in 2012 the Iconographic Museum of Quixote Painting Biennial. He has also dabbled in comics journalism with the work Tetelcingo, fosas del olvido, co-written with poet Denisse Buendía and published online on revistaresiliencia.org. With this work he has been present in several human rights forums organized by UNAM, Ibero, UAEM, etc.
