This special piece has a balanced standing pose.

Guan Yin or Guanyin is known as the Mother of Compassion, almost equal to the Virgin Mary in Christianity.

Guan Yin means 'Who Contemplates the Sound of the World' and is one of the four major Bodhisattvas of Buddhism.

Today, Guanyin is worshipped by many Buddhist traditions in many parts of the world.

In her right hand she holds a mala.
In her left hand she has a lucky frog.
