Willy Lohmann (07-05-1936 / 05-10-2013) was an illustrator and comic artist. Amongst others, he worked for Toonder studios, where he illustrated the newspaper cartoon Tom Poes for some time. In the 1960s, he worked for het Parool and illustrated the series Kraaienhove. He also made many illustrations and covers for the Dutch edition of Mad and the comic magazine De Vrije Balloon. In 2006, Het Stripschap awarded him the “Bulletje en Boonestaak” award, as one of the comic artists who started the Dutch graphic novel movement.
