One of the first portable and foldable typewriters from America.
In good condition, original case included. The lock of the case reads Corona, just like the feet of the typewriter. Beautiful design from Otto Peterman from 1912. The machine has more nice details such as the golden lettering, of course concerning brand and model number but also the patents on the back.
Needless to say, the ribbon is dry (original) and the arm is a bit rigid (which can be easily solved with lubricating oil). But I’ve deliberately left it original.
This is a relatively large and heavy device given the particular design.
With the introduction of this device, people could use it in a mobile manner, actually a sort of laptop back then, like we know now.
Beautiful collector’s item. See pictures for the many details (the pictures are part of the description).
