Outstanding pottery "mingqi" representing a Large Glazed Pottery Horse with Saddle.
Red earthenware coated with white slip and remains of yellow, green, dark red, black pigment.

Ming Dynasty
Excellent condition, much of the original pigment remaining.
Height; 35.5 cm. Wide: 33.5 cm.
Excavated from the tomb in Qianxian, Shaanxi province.

- Provenance: AAG (former Glerum) auction house, Amsterdam
Dutch private collection purchased from above.

Fully intact (not broken or repaired). A very nice glazed pottery horse, finely modeled, glazed white body and glazed saddle.
