Office typewriter prewar German.
A special typewriter from 1910-1915 by "Algemeine Elektricitaets Geselschaft" also called AEG from Germany.
This typewriter was developed in 1903 by Friedrich von Hefner-Alteneck and was produced from 1904 up to 1934.
Instead of type arms, this typewriter is equipped with a type cylinder which was interchangeable.
This letter roller was accompanied by a tableau (pointing plate) on which the various characters were depicted.
With the left hand you place the pointer above the desired character. Via a mechanical coupling the wheel turns, positioning the correct letter above the paper. By pressing a knob with the right hand, the letter was printed onto the paper.
This typewriter comes with the original wooden case, with the text “Mignon” on it.
This is Modell 4.
Dimensions: LxWxH=34x33x22 (dimensions of the case).
Weight is about 7 kg.
