Giulio Romano Vercelli, Torino 1871-1951 - Paesaggio
Oil on panel - Hand signed - 1930 - 1940

A splendid landscape of the Piedmontese countryside, Vercelli worked as a creator of frescoes in Brazil around 1889, in 1890 he was in Paris, where he experienced impressionist painting and in particular Cezanne, from whose strokes and gesture the Turin painters met later, such as Cavslka and Vittorio Cavalleri, did not distract him. For further information, see the text "Gli impressionisti italiani e Giulio Romano Vercelli" 1997 by G. Mandel.
With beautiful handcrafted coeval (?) frame made in Milan, from Arte Più gallery, Messina, and a known private collection.
