Rascha Peper (pseudonym of Jenneke Strijland, Driebergen-Rijsenburg, 1 January 1949 - Amsterdam, 16 March 2013) was a Dutch writer. Strijland studied Dutch language and literature in Amsterdam. After her studies she worked as a teacher for some time. In 1990 she made her debut with the collection of stories ‘De waterdame’. Her first novel, ‘Oesters’, appeared in 1991. The novel ‘Rico's vleugels’ was nominated for the AKO Literature Prize in 1994. In 1996 she won the Multatuli prize for ‘Russisch blauw’. She regularly wrote columns in the NRC Handelsblad.
