Solid silver Vermeil knives early 19th - .800 silver, Gold plated - France - First half 19th century
Fair condition - heavily used & with possibly minor parts missing - 387 g

Very nice set of 12 knives with mother of pearl handles, silver gilt (gold on sterling silver) bladesn, ‘old man’ hallmark, Restoration Period, 1819-1838, large guarantee hallmark, silversmith’s hallmark, the set is in good overall condition, with some signs of wear, including damage to the bottoms of 2 handles and some friction marks on the end of one blade, see pictures, otherwise the rest is very nice, the mother of pearl is perfect, and the silver gilt has not worn away.
Size: approximately 20 cm in length for each knife, total weight 387 grams
