A valuable Art Nouveau sculpture with neoclassical contaminations, depicting a female figure with doves. Florentine school sculptor; provenance: Florence, late 19th century. The work is in valuable Carrara marble, the one used by Michelangelo Buonarroti. The sculpture is missing the big toe and the little finger from the left foot. The ankle and neck have been restored, the restoration has been performed so well that you barely notice it, however, all the flaws are clearly visible in the detailed photos.
The finely crafted doves and the base is turned with its original blue glass insert.
