The Raadvad company has been famed for its production of high-quality knives, blades and kitchen implements since 1758. Their iconic bread slicer was produced in Denmark in its modern form from before the second-world-war, becoming a classic of Danish design. The bread slicer is no longer in production, but you can still own one of these fantastic machines. Although it can be used simply for decoration, for example as a book-rack — at home, in a cafe, shop or restaurant — it is still fully functional.
This fine machine (model no. 294) is made from cast iron, steel and wood, according to the original design, probably being produced in the early 1980s.
The original black paint is in near mint condition (see photos), with no major blemishes. The guillotine blade is in excellent condition and can be used to slice breads, cheese, soap, fruits or flowers.
The approximate total dimensions are length 35cm x height 25cm x depth 25cm. It weighs a little over 3kg, just under 5kg packed. It will be sent fully assembled and ready to use.
