The V320 is a heavy-duty six-axle diesel hydraulic locomotive, developed at own risk by Henschel, designed for heavy passenger and freight transport.

The DB rented this loc from 1963 to 1975 from Henschel and classified it in the series V320 and later 232 (not to be confused with the later Baureihe 232), but did not place a follow-up order. Since then, the locomotive was deployed at Hersfelder Eisenbahn GmbH as V30 and the TWE as V320. Since 1998, this locomotive is in use at Wiebe.
