A.J. van Driesten (1878-1969) - Polderlandschap

Description
A.J. van Driesten (1878-1969) - Polderlandschap
Watercolour - Hand signed - 20e eeuw

Painter A.J. van Driesten belongs to the Leidse impressionists of the Leiden School. Van Driesten mainly painted landscapes in the surroundings of Leiden, near the Noordense and the Nieuwkoopseplassen. The work and perhaps also the philosophy and motivation to make the work also appeals to many art lovers today. Van Driesten belongs to the group of painters such as Van der Nat, Rosemeier and Van der Windt. Together they have captured the region at the time in imitation of the Hague School painters on canvas, panel on paper in their own (atmospheric) manner. Nice work, especially if it gets a beautiful frame.
