1st half 20th century - Good condition, used with some signs of wear

This is a beautiful pair of clip earplugs from the Zulu.

Originally, these earplugs were made and worn by men who worked in the mines beginning 1900. Afterwards, the tradition was taken over by the Zulu women.

Acquired in situ circa 1974 near Ulundi.

Extensive documentation in English will be given to the purchaser of this pair of earplugs.
