A title is annotated in the lower left with the ink pen "Sur le naturel". Many of these drawings listed in museums bear this annotation in pen.

Painter, engraver, draughtsman and landscaper. - He collaborated with Le Nôtre and drew the plans for the gardens of Versailles. - Had as a pupil the engraver and print merchant: Mariette, Jean (1660-1742). - Received in 1735 at the Royal Academy of Painting. - Practiced the technique of washed drawing
