Tropical version of the most famous WW2 German fighter.
Produced in over 33,000 copies, a versatile vehicle used in many roles, among the main ones: fighter-bomber, night fighter, reconnaissance aircraft, tank destroyers.
It was the plane used by the greatest aviators in the world. The tropical version was also used by Hans-Joachim Marseille, nicknamed “Stern von Afrika” (Star of Africa), credited with the highest number of air victories (158) on the Western Front, of which 151 in Africa.
The decals highlight the ace of spades, symbol adopted by the
Jagdgeschwader 53, which used exclusively Messerschmitt fighters.
During more than 1,942 operations in North Africa, Sicily and Malta, the JG 53 achieved 388 victories.
Please note: given the age, the condition of the decals cannot always be guaranteed, they could be fragile/yellowed.
